The Mark of Zorro (Rouben Mamoulian, 1940)
Watched this with Austin because it is—apparently—the movie the Waynes are coming back from when they get shot in the Batman canon. For some reason I always assumed they were coming back from the opera. Where I got that one from, I don’t know.
When I was young I watched Zorro—the one from the seventies with Alain Delon—all the time. You can see a little bit of it here, in roughly the same quality as the VHS tape I would have watched back in the day here:
