I mentioned in the post about “balletcore” that I wear a lot of bodysuits now, for after-effects-of-pancreatitis reasons. (Basically, I can’t handle any pressure on my sternum.) Some bodysuits are meant for layering, like these from Quince, and others are meant to be shirts on their own, like this turtleneck from Los Angeles Apparel, and so on. I’m not sure why I’m explaining the general concept of a bodysuit. You probably know what it is.

Because I like to wear clothing that doesn’t have synthetics in it—for various reasons, one relevant one in this case being general breathability—it has been a little bit annoying that all bodysuits contain elastane, at the very least, even if they’re 95% cotton otherwise. It didn’t seem to me that it had to be this way. Jersey knit is naturally stretchy, after all, and you can make it with most fabrics. Still, there it was.
