"Crawdads" seems to me like a book TS would really like, tbh - she described her ideal novel on Colbert and I feel like it was kind of something Crawdads-adjacent, like, girl-oriented gothic crime/reckoning with past type of deal.
when that movie came out I was spending the summer in new orleans and living a short walk away from a beautiful old single screen movie theater - every single day off I was like "ah, I should go to the prytania today!" but the only movie playing for the ENTIRE SUMMER was the accursed crawdads!!!! still resent that movie so much lmao but I do kind of like the song she wrote for it.
