Yeah I don’t really go back to short and sweet. I am an ABBA girlie tho and extra at heart so I do like MBF. I always thought Olivia Rodrigo was going to grow up to write great songs about the goofy and weird complexity of choosing shitty men, but I feel like it’s Sabrina’s niche now (not trying to pit them against each other). I like that she gets a little weird and even creepy in MBF lmao, I don’t think she gets credit for the creepiness
I love the MBF bonus track that starts as if she's complaining about some guy being avoidant but then you realize she's singing from the POV of a stalker.

The patient as a suspicious witness rings true: I went to a doctor recently (thankfully a rare occurrence) and it felt like I was being sized-up until I reported a second-hand account of my symptoms, and then that seemed like enough to order the test. It seemed like she was waiting for that precise piece of evidence, or it would have been a dead-end.

This is utterly tangential to the main point of the post, but I only have one example of scent ruining an association: for several years I used a lovely conditioner from LUSH that was scented with orange blossom, and when I later ordered a cocktail that had orange blossom water as an ingredient I found it irredeemably soapy.
That Sundays record is so good. I love that band so much.
